History

Incorporation - March 1998.

Zaxel is focused on exploiting grant-funded R&D, 20 years of the world's most advanced research in computer vision at Carnegie Mellon University, championed by the leadership and vision of two co-founders and executed by a top-notch technical and business team. The company corporate headquarters is in Los Altos Hills, CA, with engineering headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

Move to Silicon Valley - April 2014.

Zaxel moved its office from Pittsburgh to Silicon Valley as the joint research work with Carnegie Mellon University ended, there was the need to come closer to customers in Hollywood and Asia.

Obtained venture funding in Tokyo, Japan - June 2014.

We established an office in Japan and obtained venture funding in Japan. The Japanese company became the holding company of the U.S. company.
