In order to use compressed contents on very large screens, extremely high color accuracy is desired. Furthermore, in order
to stream video to very large screens, you need very high compression ratio.
Zaxel has introduced Zaxtar 5 HEVC player with very accurate color but with the highest compression to satisfy these requirements.
Zaxtar 5 HEVC supports H.265 Main 4:4:4 12.
H.265 Main 4:4:4 12 is ideal for high quality and high compression ratio because it supports inter frame compression.
All other 444 compressions use intra frame compression such as JPEG 2000 and ProRes 4444.
As a consequence, H.265 Main 4:4:4 12 video is up to 5 times more compact than JPEG 2000 video
with the same quality measured by PSNR.
Optionally Zaxel's zDRM digital rights management system with strong AES 256 encryption and
RSA key encryption is available for Zaxtar 5 HEVC player.
Video on demand server that supports H.265 is also available from Zaxel.
The output connections are 4 links of 3GSDI for 4K 422 10 bit and 8 links of 3GSDI for 4K 444 12 bit.
