Today Zaxel announced that Zaxel has shipped industry's first HDMI 2.0 recorder,
Zaxtar 5 with HDMI 2.0 recording option, to a game industry company.
PC game has become the first widely available 4K 60P contents.
Almost all PC game contents can be rendered at 4K resolution and accelerated at 60P with the fastest GPU.
4K TV with HDMI 2.0 interface to capture 4K 60P contents are widely available at very reasonable cost.
Game industry companies and game enthusiasts are eager to capture 4K 60P at the highest quality
for various purposes such as making promotional videos, create a movie, or review the past exercises.
Thus, Zaxel has introduced a video server with recording and play back capabilities with HDMI 2.0 interfaces
at 4K 60P speed.
Set-up and operation is very easy with Zaxtar 5. First, prepare a PC game machine with the newest,
and most powerful PC Graphics card with HDMI 2.0 interfaces such as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980.
Connect DisplayPort 1.2 output interface to a 4K 60P display or HDMI 2.0 interface to a 4K TV.
Then attach DL DVI to HDMI converter to the output interface to obtain HDMI 2.0, and then connect to Zaxtar 5's
HDMI 2.0 input terminal.
PC game company's engineers were very impressed by the quality of the video captured.
